Staffordshire-based solicitors Knights are running a seminar for the directors and senior managers of local businesses to help them understand employment law and how it affects them as employers.
The seminar, which will take place on Tuesday 15th April between 4pm and 6pm, and be repeated on Tuesday 13th May between 10am and 12 noon, will be presented at the offices of Knights by partner and solicitor Isabel Hancock, an experienced employment law specialist.
Isabel will explore various aspects of employment law, and their implications for owner-managed and other businesses. There will be a question and answer session allowing delegates to raise specific issues.
Some of the topics covered in the seminar will include contractual obligations, discrimination, disciplinary procedures and redundancy.
Isabel comments: ìOur workshops are designed to provide practical advice and guidance, together with solutions for dealing with potential problems. Employers should be aware that failure to comply with the ever changing legislation could prove very costly.î
