Resourcing Solutions Ltd ñ a recruiter in the rail, engineering and construction industries ñ has been awarded coveted star status in the Best Companies Accreditation, 2008 ñ an annual reference guide for graduates and jobseekers, providing independent and unbiased information on some of the UKís best workplaces.

Best Companies Accreditation acknowledges corporate excellence in the workplace, focusing on Workplace Engagement as an integral component of an organisationís success and growth. The ëMichelin styleí, elite accreditation system recognises organisations with One Star, Two Star or Three Star status. Of the 8,000 REC member recruitment companies in the UK, Resourcing Solutions is one of only 33 companies to be awarded this accolade.

Richard Lawrance, Managing Director, Resourcing Solutions commented: ìWe are delighted to receive this accolade, which reflects our ongoing commitment to our staff. We strive to address the individual requirements of each team member with tailored training programmes and supportive ëbuddying schemesí as well as ensuring success is well rewarded under our productivity incentive scheme as well as promoting the benefits of a sensible work life balance.î

The Best Companies survey is designed to measure employee engagement and uses 66 questions to gain a comprehensive view of workplace engagement across eight factors. These include leadership, well-being, my manager, my team, my company, personal growth, giving something back and fair deal.

Lawrance continued: ìWe are committed to making Resourcing Solutions a great place for the people who work here. A company with a happy, engaged and enthusiastic workforce will see a direct correlation with happy clients and customers. This accreditation is testimony to our efforts. This is the second time weíve been awarded with the Best Companies Accreditation and we are thrilled to be reaping the rewards.î

Jonathan Austin, chief executive, Best Companies added: ìOur role at Best Companies is to set a rigorous benchmark so that organisations can become even better employers. This year it is encouraging to see that the number of companies entering the accreditation scheme for excellence in workplace engagement has grown by one third.î

Every company that goes for Best Companies Accreditation is given a Best Companies Index score (BCI). This score (on a scale of 1 to 1000) is defined from employeesí responses to sixteen key questions within the Best Companies Survey. ëStar Statusí is determined by the ëBCIí score and the specific cut-off points for One, Two and Three Star Accreditation remain constant year-on-year.
