52% of men find passion under the mistletoe at their office party

reseasrch from Jobsite shows that 52% of men have kissed a colleague at the office party

New research from Jobsite shows that 52% of men have kissed a colleague at the office party. Women however are far more straight-laced than their male counterparts with a massive 71% claiming that theyíd never snog someone from the office.

In fact, the survey showed that far more men than women looked for romance in the office during the festive season. A further 30% of the men claimed to have kissed several different colleagues at office parties over the years. Over half as many men than women admitted that they would definitely go for a mistletoe moment if given the chance.

As well taking part in the festivities 58% of men were looking for a cash bonus as a Christmas present from their boss, while 50% of women would rather have a promotion. The most desirable office status symbols for both men and women included a company car, laptop or own office. These were chosen way and above a company credit card, secretary or a Blackberry.

As work slows down in the move towards Christmas 38% of employees will take the opportunity to use the Internet at work to search for new jobs. A further 35% of people will catch-up with old colleagues. Only 13% of people surveyed will be shopping for last minute Xmas presents during working hours.

Felix Wetzel, Marketing Director, Jobsite says, ìChristmas is the ideal time for people to let their hair down and plan for the year ahead. Many people work long hours so it is no wonder that the office romances are becoming more and more prevalent. Being in the right job significantly affects your general well being so it is important to ensure that youíre in the right position. The new year provides an opportunity for a fresh start.î
