247recruit launch ski job videos at The Outdoors Show

247recruit launched a series of ski job video profiles at The Outdoors Show which took place at the NEC last weekend (15-16 March 2008). Twelve new videos are now live on their specialist seasonal jobs site at Ski-Jobs.co.uk .

Each video comprises a short film giving potential new candidates an insider's view on what it's like to work in a ski resort in a variety of roles. 247recruit have created the videos to raise awareness of the seasonal opportunities available in ski resorts each winter. Featured roles include jobs for chefs, drivers, hosts, hotel managers, childcare and customer service staff.

Andrew Bird, 247recruit Managing Director, explains the strategy behind the launch:

We promote thousands of vacancies for over 50 ski season employers and see it as our responsibility to help grow the size of the candidate market each year. The industry needs to promote the concept of working a ski season to people who may never have considered this type of job and have no idea what it is like to work abroad in a resort. The video profiles give a behind-the-scenes view of each job role and most importantly get across the lifestyle benefits of working and living in the alps for a season. Video is a perfect communication medium for this type of job - you can see and hear what the role is like directly from someone who is actually doing it.

The Outdoors Show was selected for the launch as it is one of the largest consumer shows for people who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Held at the NEC in Birmingham over 3 days, the show attracted over 30,000 people from all over the country.

The ski job video profiles can now be viewed online at www.Ski-Jobs.co.uk. The site also offers visitors the option to share the video on social networking sites such as Facebook or they can download it to an iPod, PSP or PC.
