GM Recruitment announces the end of an era for one grumpy old man

Construction recruitment specialist, gm recruitment, waves goodbye to possibly the industryís longest serving recruiter. Senior consultant Paul Barnes is retiring after giving 35 years service to the recruitment industry. Paul started his career in recruitment back in 1972, at a time when construction recruitment was in its very infancy. Paul enjoyed a long and successful career as a consultant at two other major agencies before joining gm recruitment in January 2005.

Paul joined gm recruitment as a senior consultant and over the past 2 years has helped move the company from its small beginnings to its current success and maturity. Paul leaves with fond memories of both past colleagues and clients, some of which he has known for almost all of his recruitment life!

Managing Director George Willis said, ìPaul has been an outstanding example to us all in this industry. He has contributed immensely to this company and my colleagues and I will miss his hard work, dedication and integrity. His retirement is well deserved and we wish him a long and happy one. î
