Broadbean Technology has been ranked the UKís 27th fastest growing high-technology company according to Deloitteís Fast 50 list. Speaking of the accolade, MD Dan McGuire said ìItís very easy to talk about impressive sales and profit figures, as everyone does, but not many are in the luxurious position of having their claims and figures ratified by an independent body such as Deloitte. Weíre delighted with our position but will be aiming for higher next year.î
McGuire, who was highly commended in the Lifetime Achievement category at the recent London and South East Recruitment awards, has beaten of stiff competition to make the final five in the UK Young Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Growing Business Awards. Broadbean will compete with Multimap and Texperts for the title of Most Innovative Company at the same awards which have been described by Gordon Brown as ìThe business equivalent of the Oscarsî. The awards ceremony, hosted by William Hague, takes place at the end of November.
Building on this success and the recent announcement of their European launch, the Canary Wharf firm have also announced that three high profile individuals have
agreed in principle to join the company as non-executive directors. Ann Swain (Chief Executive of ATSCo), Keith Robinson (Formerly COO of TotalJobs.com) and Les Clark (founder of Glotel) will advise Broadbean on the European launch and global strategy. Stuart Passmore has also joined as Finance Director.
McGuire added ìThe calibre of the team weíre putting together should be seen as a statement of our intent to take the business global. I believe the diversity of the team will add significant value to Broadbean and look forward to working with such an esteemed group of people.î
The Bean Team will discover their fate at the ATSCo Award Ceremony this Friday where they are nominated in both the ëStaffing Sector Service Provider of the Yearí and ëInnovator of the Yearí categories.
