Beyond.com, Inc. expands Internationally

Beyond.com, Inc., announces a strategic international expansion into Canada, fueled by the companyís acquisition of JobAnimal.com, Inc. ó Canadaís largest career network with close to 800 local and industry domains representing over 873,000 registered job seekers and more than 150 Canadian job sites. The move comes on the heels of Beyond.comís recent acquisition of TechCareers.com from CMP Technology (see August 6 release) earlier this year.

The acquisition of JobAnimal.com enables Beyond.com to expand its reach into the international job market, delivering global services to new and existing customers as their needs continue to expand beyond U.S. boarders. Based in Ottawa, Ontario the new Canadian operation provides employers with an extensive network of niche-specific Canadian job sites to help effectively target and recruit local, highly-qualified candidates. Job seekers also benefit from Beyond.comís recent expansion through access to a number of job opportunities tailored specifically to their province or industry, as well as obtain a variety of career resources including: continuing education, resume writing help, career consultation and loan consolidation.

According to an October 5 Labour Force Survey release from Statistics Canada, Canadaís national statistical agency, Canadaís job market has been steadily growing, with the largest recent increases coming from educational services, public administration, scientific and technical services, and agriculture. The release goes on to report that so far in 2007, employment has grown by 1.7 percent, a rate of growth higher than that observed over the first nine months of 2006 (1.3 percent).
