Jackie Stoneman, managing director of Select Recruitment, Key Personnel and the Just Recruitment Group, has topped off a year of award wins with top honours in Inspiration East, which recognised her forward-looking management style and her commitment to staff development and training.
Jackieís company was named Suffolk Recruitment Consultancy of the Year and she personally was presented with the Special Recognition award at The Suffolk Recruitment Awards in October 2007. During the summer she was also named Essex Countywide Businesswoman of the Year 2007.
The East Anglian based businesswoman, who took over the reins of the fledgling company in 1986 and now employs more than 50 staff at offices across Suffolk, Essex and Poland, has overseen a rise in turnover to nearly 12million.
In the last year she established the Just Recruitment Group, an umbrella for six niche market specialist employment divisions including law, property, catering and technical services. She has advanced plans to launch a further 10 specialist Just Recruitment consultancies within the next 3 years.
Her Inspiration East award was presented by music promoter, Stuart Galbraith, at a glittering awards ceremony held in Chelmsford. Trevor Lake, managing director of LB Group, who sponsored the awards, applauded her caring attitude and commitment to developing staff. He pointed to this as one of the main reasons that the company was able to achieve exceptional staff retention rates and grow the business so successfully.
The company has also been recognised elsewhere for its commitment to staff development, winning a total of five separate awards in the last year for its innovative induction and training programmes.
