forum3 launches social networking website for the not-for-profit sector

forum3 has extended its reach into the virtual world with the launch of a social networking platform, the forum3 Network

forum3, the UK's only recruitment event for the not-for-profit sector, has extended its reach into the virtual world with the launch of a social networking platform, the forum3 Network.

Building on the success of the live forum3 event, held annually in October at the Business Design Centre in Islington, the forum3 Network is designed to provide an environment where those working in, or looking to work in the not-for-profit sector can interact with their peers 365 days of the year.

The Network enables members to talk to friends and colleagues about whatís going on in the not-for-profit sector ñ whether it is how to get a first step on the career ladder, getting up to speed with new legislation, improving CSR programmes or swapping views on Phil Hope, the new Minister for the Third Sector.

As well as numerous groups and discussion forums, the site also hosts a range of job vacancies in the not-for-profit sector and can help to connect those looking to recruit, with those that possess the right skills.

Gerry McNally, E-recruitment Director of forum3 comments:
ìGiven the success of the live forum3 event, a clear opportunity existed to extend the reach of forum3. Given the fact that social networking is a trend which is set to stay, an online forum seemed an obvious move. The forum3 Network means that those working in, or looking to work in the not-for-profit sector can network with friends, peers and contacts on a year round basis.î
