Chairman of the Australian Fair Pay Commission, Professor Ian Harper, will speak at the Recruitment and Consulting Services Associationís (RCSA) Annual General Meeting, Board Luncheon in Melbourne on Thursday.

Julie Mills, CEO of the RCSA, said attendees at the luncheon can expect to hear about the role of the Australian Fair Pay Commission and the recent adjustment to Australiaís minimum wage in the speech entitled, Setting Minimum Wages in Australia.
ìThe event will be a great opportunity for the industry to gain first-hand information on the inaugural decision by the Australian Fair Pay Commission regarding federal minimum wages and the process involved in reaching the decision. It will also enable Members to explore what it means for the recruitment and on-hire industries.

Professor Harper is a distinguished Australian academic economist whose economic insights and expertise are utilised by governments, banks, the general business sector and leading professional firms.
As a member of the Wallis Inquiry into financial market deregulation, he was at the forefront of financial market reform in Australia and stands as both, Sidney Myer Professor and Executive Director of the Centre of Business and Public Policy at the Melbourne Business School.
