Online job recruitment activity and related employment opportunities across the United Kingdom rose in October, according to the Monster Employment Index UK, which edged upward and remained at one of its highest levels for the year. The Index rose two points to 127 last month, driven by an increase in online job offers for workers across a number of industry sectors including sales; education, training and library; banking, finance and insurance.
Despite the slight dip in October, a number of sectors showed growth including sales; education, training and library; banking, finance and Insurance. Year-on-year growth of the Index now stands at 19 points, or 17.6 percent.
All UK regions except East Anglia saw an increase in the majority of categories apart from professionals and craft and related workers. The Midlands and North of England experienced the biggest growth in online job demand. Meanwhile, online offers in London and the South East remained relatively stable in October.
