The Olivier Internet job Index has had its tenth rise in a row and at 7.52%, it is the biggest rise this year.

Growth has been driven by NSW and Victoria, both states showing significant increases in job ad levels in the lead up to state elections. So despite the likely interest rate increase next week, we believe the job market will get even tougher for our clients with continuing shortages and salary pressures.

Multimedia, Internet and Graphics jobs have led the sectoral charge, demand rising to 20.08% this month (seasonally adjusted). Other good performers this month included Engineering and Mining and Building and Construction.
