A flying start for justjobsnorfolk.co.uk

Justjobsnorfolk.co.uk is delighted to announce its successful first month figures

Justjobsnorfolk.co.uk, the new recruitment website dedicated to meeting the needs of Norfolk jobseekers and employers, is delighted to announce its successful first month figures. The site, which launched at the beginning of September, has attracted 61,488 Norfolk jobseekers to the site in the first month of operation to view almost 1,000 jobs advertised ñ thatís over 2,000 people a day!

But people arenít just logging on to look; theyíre also registering and applying for jobs with over 3,000 applications received in three weeks. 90 per cent of visitors are viewing more than one page and almost half are re-visiting the site.

Russell Evans, co-founder of justjobsnorfolk.co.uk, comments: ìWe are delighted with these figures; theyíre very impressive results for such a new site and show that the people of Norfolk were in need of such a service and are making the most of it. We are confident these figures will get better and better, especially as our 250,000 launch advertising, PR and marketing campaign is still going strong, in fact weíre only half way through our activity which includes TV, press, radio, outdoor, direct mail and online advertising and PR. Based on these results, we are now planning to launch a Suffolk-specific recruitment website called justjobssuffolk.co.uk in early 2007.î

Online job demand is very high in the UK, up 15 points year-on-year. That coupled with the fact that four in 10 employers* plan on increasing their use of online recruitment over the next 12 months and more than one-third (35 per cent)** anticipating that online recruitment will become more and more popular over the next year, the future looks bright for justjobsnorfolk.co.uk.

The increase in popularity of online recruitment indicates a major change in recruitment strategy; accessing a larger pool of candidates, cost efficiencies, staying ahead of competitors, speed and convenience were all considered to be contributory factors behind the increase.

These trends are reflected in the success Bennetts, the Norfolk-based electrical retailer, has experienced with their recent recruitment drive with justjobsnorfolk.co.uk. Mike Jones, Managing Director of Bennetts, comments: ìWe advertised 20 positions on the justjobsnorfolk.co.uk website; 4,000 people viewed our jobs and we had an average of 20 quality applicants apply for each job, which are now all filled. Compared to our previous methods of recruitment these are fantastic results. This is the first time we have recruited online and, based on these results, will become one of our primary methods of recruitment from now on.î

Based on the success of the launch of the site, justjobsnorfolk.co.uk are currently recruiting and are delighted to have recently appointed a full-time Business Development Manager.

Louisa Mann joins justjobsnorfolk.co.uk with six years marketing and communications experience. In her previous position as Business Development Manager with a Norfolk-based printing company she was responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and retaining and growing the existing agency portfolio. Russell Evans, co- founder of justjobsnorfolk.co.uk, comments: ìLouisa is an impressive and ambitious regional talent and weíre thrilled sheís joining us to handle new growth. She has a proven track record of attracting valuable new business and with her strong communications, strategy and account handling experience, sheíll be a vital part of the expansion of our regional website, and yes we did find her through justjobsnorfolk.co.uk!î
