Monster Canada to Sponsor Human Capital Institute’s Montreal City Summit: ’Our Future: A Public Dialogue’ Will Address Critical Human Capital Issues

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Monster Canada will sponsor HCI’s Montreal City Summit at the Platinum level.

This year’s Montreal City Summit, titled ’Our Future: A Public Dialogue,’ is being hosted by HCI and McGill University on the McGill campus on October 19, 2006. The Summit is aimed at exploring the challenges and opportunities Quebec faces both in North America and on the global stage.

The full-day event will feature keynote speakers as well as moderated panel discussions on several topics that include: demographics, including the attraction, development and retention of talent; globalization and Quebec’s sustainable, unique competitive advantages; the role of knowledge and education in securing a common future; innovation and how Quebec can best meet the productivity challenge; and integration of social values and educational and economic imperatives to build success.

Monster Canada’s support enables us to host an event of critical importance to the Canadian business community, said Allan Schweyer, HCI’s President and Executive Director. Quebec faces both significant challenges and unprecedented opportunity as it strives to reposition itself in the global economy. Prominent leaders from business, government, media and the academic community will participate in the event.

We’re pleased to support the Montreal City Summit, said Gabriel Bouchard, Vice President and General Manager of Monster Canada. Addressing the workforce needs of Quebec is one of Monster Canada’s primary objectives.

The Montreal City Summit begins at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and a networking opportunity. The program includes a lunch keynote address and a closing cocktail reception. The event, open to the public, is free to all HCI members.
