Stephan is the Development Director of Archant Regional, the UKís fourth largest regional newspaper group. His brief is to look at ways of developing new revenue growth, with a particular emphasis on online growth, across the Archant group.

Prior to this role he was the Ad Director at Archant Norfolk for ten years and before that the Assistant Managing Director of Aberdeen Journals Ltd for three years, when it was owned by the Thomson Corporation.

He has a background in fmcg starting out as a graduate trainee with J Sainsbury plc. He also did a 4 year stint with CWS Ltd.

He holds a post graduate diploma in marketing from Nottingham Trent University and was awarded a Master of Science degree from the University of Glamorgan for his academic research into consumer disloyalty behaviour.

He has won many industry awards work, and one of the web sites he was responsible for has won the UKPG best website award 4 times in 5 years.

In 2004 he was recognised by the Financial Times in their Creative Top 50 list, the first person in regional press to be recognised in this way.
