WSPA adopts Empower solution

The World Society for the Protection of Animals has awarded Northgate HR with a 5 year contract for its Empower HR solution

The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), a charity that promotes animal welfare across the globe, has awarded Northgate HR with a 5 year contract for its Empower HR solution.

The new solution will be used to automate personnel and recruitment for the charityís 70 employees. WSPA will also make use of Northgate HRís Business Alert Manager solution, which allows key performance indicators critical to the organisationís success, for example, staff turnover, to be monitored and reported on.

WSPA aim to re-coup the cost of the new system within 3 years by using features such as self service via an intranet. Employees will be able to manage their own affairs, updating personal records, booking holidays and recording sickness online. This will free up time in the HR department allowing staff to focus on more strategic activities instead of administration. Managers will also have access to the system to run management reports on things like absence, and to manage their employees, for example, authorising holiday requests.

Malcolm Aldis, managing director, Northgate HR, said: ìThe WSPA is aiming to provide a better service to its employees by improving the management of its HR data, and we are delighted it has chosen our Empower solution to achieve this goal.î

Empower met all of WSPAís requirements which included having the functionality to manage absence effectively, and the scalability to cope with the charityís projected growth - a key strategic objective for the future.
