AOL has confirmed two key appointments within its Interactive Marketing team. Luke Townsend, formerly Group Head of Agency Sales has been promoted to become overall Head of Agency Sales and Martin Verdon-Roe will replace Townsend as Group Head, Agency Sales at AOL.
Townsend, now responsible for a team of 11 people will report directly to Giles Ivey, Sales Director at AOL, while Verdon-Roe will report to Townsend.
Giles Ivey commenting on the promotions said: ìOnline now plays an integral role within the media mix for advertisers and these new appointments reflect that position. Both Luke and Martin have a wealth of experience outside of online, in radio, outdoor and print, placing them in the ideal position to create innovative and ground breaking campaigns, particularly for branding.î
Ivey continued: ìLuke combines a strong multimedia background with a genuine passion for advertising and a desire to meet the specific, individual needs of each advertiser, making him the ideal person to head up Agency Sales at AOL.î
