StepStone acquires Denmarkís largest IT job portal

In a move that complements the companyís focus on industry channels and demonstrates the increasing consolidation in the online recruitment market , leading European e-recruitment company StepStone has acquired Denmarkís largest IT job portal, IT-Jobbank. Through the acquisition of 100% of the shares of IT-Jobbank, StepStone becomes the clear e-recruitment market leader in the fast-growing Danish IT recruitment market.

Recent surveys show that the number of Danish companies struggling to fill IT roles has more than doubled over the last 2 years. In order to help clients deal with this challenge, StepStone has chosen to further develop its offering in IT recruitment.

StepStone Denmark already operates one of the countryís most successful and widely recognised e-recruitment sites , with over 250.000 user sessions a month advertising 2.300 job offers from almost 1.000 blue-chip companies, including Carlsberg and Novo Nordisk. The addition of IT-Jobbank now gives StepStone market leadership in this segment with more than 700 IT vacancies, and over 40.000 IT candidates in their CV databases.
