The summer season brings music festivals, holidays abroad and trips to the beach which means more vehicles than ever are travelling the length and breadth of the UK. And with thousands of us stopping at service stations, a few extra hands are needed to cope with the demand for mid-journey refreshments.
To help manage the seasonal peak in traffic, Jark Recruitment has been appointed by the Moto group, the UKs largest provider of motorway services, to supply a temporary workforce. Jark will place 70 hand-selected staff in restaurants, shops and catering facilities in 15 Moto service stations throughout the UK in a contract that lasts until September.
The contract has provided Jark Recruitment with the ideal opportunity to use their newly opened Polish branch in Warsaw, from where all 70 English-speaking candidates will be hand picked via pre-screenings and formal interviews.
Richard Morrissey, Director of Jark Recruitment, comments; We are thrilled to have been appointed by the Moto group to provide a temporary recruitment solution. Moto was the motorway services arm of the Compass Group, the largest foodservice organisation in the UK and Ireland, but has recently been sold to a consortium led by Australian bank, Macquarie, in part of a deal worth over 1.8 billion. Moto is a familiar name to all of us who travel the UKs motorways, and we are excited to be supplying them with Jark candidates in half of all their service stations across the country.
The contract will give us a platform to show our ability to supto supply tailored recruitment solutions from Poland and Eastern Europe for any specific client requirement and for any industry, no matter how large. We have always been specialist providers of temporary and permanent solutions to the industrial, driving, construction and healthcare industries, and a move into the UKs catering services with our Polish candidates is a new and exciting opportunity for us.
