Pivotal Performance, has secured a major deal to extend its work with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) for the next 12 months.
The training provided will be developed on a new performance matrix for core health and safety training for Police Officers and Staff. The matrix is based on six levels of safety performance required from inductions, general role (operational/non operational), supervisory, local trainer, specialist and leader. Work is now underway to deliver this new training including a range of recognised and bespoke specialist training including the IOSH Safety for Senior Executives.
Pivotal Performance began working with the MPS in 2000 becoming their preferred provider, having sustained high quality health and safety training to Metropolitan Police Officers and Police Staff.
An important factor in securing the extended contract has been the utilisation of a dedicated team of four training experts from Pivotal Performance who have worked with the MPS over the last six years. This has allowed substantial tailoring of courses to make them as practical and ìreal lifeî as possible.
Paul Darby, Head of HSE Training, said: ìI am very pleased the contract has been extended as this demonstrates the confidence the MPS has in our Training Team. The extended courses follow our previous theme of being practical and work based, allowing for discussion and debate which greatly enhances the learning experience for all involved. ì
Nick Kettle, Senior Safety Adviser, Metropolitan Police Service said ìIím looking forward to building on the solid foundation of training already delivered by Pivotal Performance and providing this new range of bespoke training courses. These new courses and their delivery by Pivotal Performance is an essential part of the continuing development of the evolving positive safety culture I the Metropolitan Police Service.î
Tim French, Managing Director at Pivotal Performance, said: ìWe are delighted to have been given the opportunity to continue working closely with the Metropolitan Police Service to deliver high quality, relevant health and safety training. It is immensely satisfying that our working partnership with the MPS, going back many years and based on much shared experience and knowledge, is continuing. We look forward again to helping the health and safety performance of the Metropolitan Police.î
All of the courses will be taking place in London at a variety of Metropolitan Police Service venues, including the Empress State Building.
