Warren Buffett Still The Most Popular Chief Among 6FigureJobs.com Executives

Survey reveals that a majority of executives would want to have dinner with the Berkshire Hathaway CEO. Appleís Steve Jobs voted second most popular

In a May 2006 survey, 6FigureJobs.com asked its 400,000 members which Chief Executive they would most want to have dinner with. The list included 7 of the most notable and influential executives in the country, including Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway), Steve Jobs (Apple), Bill Gates (Microsoft), Larry Page and Sergey Brin (Google), Meg Whitman (eBay), and Lee Scott (Wal-Mart).

Thirty-three percent (33%) of the vote went to Warren Buffett, the wealthy American investor and businessman known as the ìOracle of Omaha,î who retained his top honors from a 6FigureJobsí survey back in November of 2003. ìBuffettís success and astute investment practices continues to inspire our executive members,î commented Steve Purello, General Manager of 6FigureJobs and Workstreamís Career Networks division. ìItís no secret that we all would like to gain some valuable insight from him.î

Steve Jobs, the relentless and creative mind behind Appleís success, took second place with 23% of the votes, edging out Microsoftís Bill Gates, who garnered 21% of the executive vote. Appleís success over the past few years has come from tremendous sales of its iPod, a device many cannot live without.

CEO, Meg Whitman of eBay finished with 9% and Lee Scott of Wal-Mart finished with 6% of the votes. The big surprise, however, were the minimal votes cast for Google chairmen, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who only generated 8% of the executive vote.
