Football Association executive director David Davies is joining executive recruitment consultants kmc international to head the companyís new sports division.
He will take up the post when he leaves the FA this summer after 12 years.
Davies ñ currently preparing for the World Cup - will include motor racing, rugby and cricket, as well as football, in his remit. His role will be to help find and recruit senior management personnel for high profile sports.
ìMany major sporting organisations do not have the in-house expertise to handle HR issues such as executive recruitment,î said Davies, a former BBC TV news and sports correspondent.
ìI am very excited to be running kmc internationalís new service, which it is launching in response to the demand for professional executive recruitment services in sports management.î
kmc international managing director Dr Elizabeth Haywood said:
ìDavid will play a vital role in establishing our new sports division. His knowledge and networks, together with our pedigree in executive recruitment, will prove a winning combination, and we very much look forward to his joining the team.î
kmc international, which has offices in Mayfair and Cardiff, has already handled executive recruitment for the Welsh Rugby Union and for a motor racing team.
