Friday 5 May has been designated ìNational work from home dayî and organisations and employees across the UK are being encouraged to try out home working.
A recent survey by Robert Half Finance & Accounting conducted with 1,100 finance professionals in the UK revealed that working from home is one of the key benefits that workers would most like to receive:
- 12 per cent view working from home as the top workplace benefit;
- This figure rises to 17 per cent for women and falls to 10 per cent for men;
- Those aged between 25 and 35 are most in favour (14 per cent) while those aged 56 or over are the least (nine per cent);
- Regionally the top figure falls to those working in the home counties (16 per cent) and the lowest reported figure is by those in the North (seven per cent).
Robert Half publishes regular surveys which provide an insight into the motivations of UK professionals, including workplace benefits.
