What would it take for Brits to work their bank holiday?

A recent survey has revealed that 10% of British workers expect nothing in return for giving up their beloved bank holiday

A recent survey has revealed that 10% of British workers expect nothing in return for giving up their beloved bank holiday.

The survey, carried out by online job board, TipTopJob.com, asked employees what it would take for them to work a bank holiday. Unsurprisingly, money was the most influencing factor with 32.4% of workers demanding more pay. Only 4.8% refused to give up their bank holiday and 8.6% would work if their boss promised to do something embarrassing or send them away for an all expenses hot and exotic holiday.

Corinne Dauncey from TipTopJob.com said: ìThe results show that there is a only small amount that wouldn’t give up their bank holiday. This ties in with the work ethos in the UK ñ weíre all workaholics!î
