The online recruitment industry has welcomed the recent launch of Digital Video Interviewing (DVI) ñ a new first stage interviewing system that allows executives to view candidatesí profiles online from anywhere in the world.
Video Interviewing, used commonly in the United States, has been introduced to the UK recruitment industry by young company Digital Video Interview Services Ltd who hosted a launch for leading recruiters plus representatives from employers such as Virgin and Orange, in London on Thursday 30 March.
ìDVI is set to revolutionise the way people recruit,î says Catriona Ryan, Managing Director of Digital Video Interview Services Ltd. ìResearch shows that employers often make up their mind about a candidate within minutes of meeting them. The ability to view a candidates profile online, listening to how they answer pre set interview questions, will ensure employers know they have candidates with the right ëpersonality fití prior to spending time in a traditional interview setting.î
The DVI launch included presentations from Dan McQuire of Broadbean who stated that anything which makes the recruitment process easier will naturally be well received by recruiters and Mark Kieve of The Internet Corporation who believes the online recruitment sector is only in its infancy. Leading personal branding and marketing strategist Krishna De of Oneocean Ltd asked delegates to think about their ëpoints of differenceí and commended the comprehensive branding of Digital Video Interview Services Ltd.
During her presentation Catriona interviewed Andrew Crouch, Head of Executive Search with award winning international firm Penta Consulting who were the first technology recruitment company to sign up to use the DVI system. ìDVI is set to change the way our business works,î said Crouch. ìWe appreciate the way in which Digital Video Interview Services have tailor made a package perfectly suitable to our business model.î
Currently based in London and Essex, Digital Video Interview Services will soon be offering the DVI service to both recruiters and candidates from more than 11 key locations across the UK.
