Trinity Mirror acquires SecsintheCity.com

SecsintheCity.com, established in 2001, has developed into a leading player in its core central London market

Trinity Mirror plc has acquired Paldonsay Ltd, the parent company of High Street Direct Ltd, owner of SecsintheCity.com, a internet recruitment site for secretarial and administrative jobs.

SecsintheCity.com, established in 2001, has developed into a leading player in its core central London market.

In line with Trinity Mirrorís growth strategy, the acquisition deepens and strengthens the Groupís penetration of its core markets and is entirely complementary to its print assets.

SecsintheCity.com will now benefit from the full cross-promotional power of the Groupís portfolio of newspapers and its growing online network.

This follows the acquisition last month of the hotgroup, the UKís second largest online recruitment business.

Sly Bailey, Chief Executive of Trinity Mirror, commented: ìThis is a great brand which fits extremely well with our recruitment sites across the UK. Digital is a key driver of our growth strategy and recruitment is an important pillar of our advertising revenue, which makes SecsintheCity.com another perfect fit for Trinity Mirror.

ìOur strategy is a careful mix of organic and M&A opportunities which so far this year has seen the launch of 36 new magazines, newspapers and online services and four important acquisitions.î

Jon Grocott, Director and founder of SecsintheCity.com, commented: ìThis represents a fantastic opportunity to grow the SecsintheCity.com brand using the power and scale of the UKís largest newspaper publishing group. The future is very exciting.î
