The demand for both permanent and contract IT professionals

Although there are reports of a slowdown in the overall rate of growth in demand for IT professionals, this masks the more complex position across the range of different skill sets. The demand for highly skilled IT managers and consultants remains strong, as organisations seek to quickly acquire the necessary skills. This is leading to a shortage of staff with the right skills and consequential upward pay rate pressure.
