The HR Business Partner for the Global banking messaging service, SWIFT, which provides software to around 7,800 financial institutions in more than 200 countries, will be speaking at this weekís Recruitment Conference in Brussels.

Anne Lemaire from SWIFT, which employs approximately 1,800 worldwide, will give delegates an insight into recruiting in China.

Ms Lemaire comments ëthe Chinese market is booming and one of the fastest growing in the world. It offers huge potential and the chances are high that recruiters will be asked to staff projects in China. At the Conference I will discuss approaches that are most likely to bring success. Plus we will look at various methods which can be used to prescreen candidates and fine down the shortlist cost-effectively.
ëFor example the approaches that we are using regularly here in the Western world do work in China with Chinese MBA students. With the right preparation even an employer who is unknown in the market can succeed.í

Conference Organiser, David Hurst, comments ëWe can learn not just from SWIFTís expertise and experience in China, but also, closer to home, from its low staff turnover rate of less than 3%. ë

The Online Recruitment Conference, Brussels 6th October, 2005.
