Huntress Recruitment Specialists raise money for Cancer Research UK

Huntress is thrilled to announce that the London Commercial team have successfully raised 300 for Cancer Research UK, our nominated charity, and a valued client

Huntress is thrilled to announce that the London Commercial team have successfully raised 300 for Cancer Research UK, our nominated charity, and a valued client. This was made possible by the success of Huntressís latest Complimentary Employment Law Seminar, held by the Kingsway and City Branches in conjunction with Prettys Solicitors on Friday 16th September 2005. The aim of these seminars, which are run on a regular basis by Huntress, is to provide key Huntress clients with an essential overview of current and forthcoming employment legislation affecting all UK companies, and to assist in providing practical solutions to these issues, whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK. The seminar topic this time round was that of Age Discrimination, and included information on retirement issues and age-related harassment in the work-place.

A preferential partner of Cancer Research UK, Huntress has supplied them with temporary and permanent personnel for over 3 years. Their HR Director Rob Farace spoke about the partnership:

ìI was highly impressed by Huntressís efficiency and responsiveness when supplying quality temporary staff to me from the word go, and I wouldnít hesitate in recommending them. In addition, their temps speak highly of the organisation, which I believe contributes to their success. Huntress staff have raised money for us on various occasions in the past and they have done it again. The Employment Law Seminars have been a huge success on all counts.î

Jane Atherton, Director, remarked:
ìHuntress is working with Cancer Research on a number of fundraising initiatives throughout our branches. Offering our support to the charity as a company means we are directly aiding their cause and raising awareness through other local companies. We are particularly pleased with the involvement and support from our clients.î

While Huntressís Complimentary seminars are free of charge for Clients, attendees are asked to donate 5 on arrival to Cancer Research UK. The seminar was held at Arundel House in Temple, beginning with a complimentary breakfast, followed by an hour-long presentation from guest speaker Matthew Cole, a partner at Prettys solicitors and a leading employment law specialist. The atmosphere was extremely positive with a high attendance rate of over 80 delegates. Nicola Solly, Associate Director presented the cheque to Cancer Research UKís Rob Farace at their Kingsway offices on Monday 26th September

In conjunction with Prettys, Huntress has also recently established an Employment Law Helpline, where Huntress clients can speak free of charge to the Prettys specialists regarding queries relating to Employment Law issues. This is yet another example of the exclusive complimentary client care services that Huntress Search offer.
