Performance Assessment Network Awarded Contract for U.S. Customs and Border Protection

CARMEL, Ind. ñ Performance Assessment Network, Inc. (ìpanôî), provider in online assessment and talent management systems, announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency to provide a Web-based computerized testing system and tracking solution for the agencyís recruitment and staffing program.

ìpan is thrilled to provide another Department of Homeland Security agency with an online assessment program,î noted pan CEO David T. Pfenninger, Ph.D. ìThe CBP is truly at the forefront of leveraging online assessments with this program. Not only will they be assessing new candidates for employment, but they will also be utilizing the value of the Internet to offer structured assessment programs aimed at assessing current employees looking for a promotion within the CBP.î

The program, which kicks off this fall, will involve the development and implementation of a Web-based computerized testing system for administering tests to assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies for promotion into mission-critical occupations. The process will include registration of candidates for assessment, administration of the assessments, maintenance of the assessment instruments, transfer of the assessment data to the appropriate CBP staffing offices, and reporting of the assessment results.

pan has provided a wide range of testing and assessment related human resource services to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a major division within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) since 2003, as well as to the United States Postal Service (USPS), the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) program, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), and other government clients.
