PHILADELPHIA, September 20, 2005 ñ China Miner Gorman, an internationally respected leader in professional services and human capital management, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Career Transition Services for DBM, a global human capital management and transitions firm. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced by Charles Kalmbach, DBMís President and Chief Executive Officer, to whom Gorman reports.
As Senior Vice President, Gorman will lead DBMís efforts to implement a new global Delivery Management System designed to enhance customer transition services support from DBMís 230 locations worldwide. She will also be instrumental in guiding strategic initiatives for the organizationís Career Transition Services product management efforts, including the International Center for Executive Options. Gorman will serve as a member of DBMís executive team.
China Gorman brings a wealth of human capital industry and operational experience to this newly created role at DBM which integrally links our core career transition services development with global delivery quality and efficiency, said Kalmbach. China has a proven track record of excellence in the delivery of outplacement services and will provide new perspectives to DBMís industry-leading C-level transition services.
Gorman previously worked for DBM through 1996 as an Executive Vice President . She then spent seven years with Lee Hecht Harrison, a global human resources and outplacement services company which is owned by Adecco S.A, serving as Chief Operating Officer and most recently as President. Her career includes roles with Keystone Associates, PMG. Inc, and the Christian Science Monitor. She was also co-founder of the Human Resource Management Corporation.
Throughout her career, Gorman has expertly guided organizations through a wide variety of transitions, including turnarounds, rapid growth scenarios and business slowdowns, with exceptional results. Her areas of expertise include producing enhanced performance in operations and sales growth, business strategy and recruiting, developing, and retaining talent.
