CollegeRecruiter.com will run at no cost job postings to help these agencies recruit volunteers

31 Dec 2005

In an effort to help the thousands of non-profit agencies struggling to provide relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, career site CollegeRecruiter.com announced today that through December 31, 2005, it will run at no cost job postings to help these agencies recruit volunteers.

The damage inflicted by Hurricane Katrina is beyond the ability of anyone to fully comprehend, said Steven Rothberg, President and Founder of CollegeRecruiter.com. While none of us outside of the disaster areas can appreciate the horrors that survivors are enduring, we all must help as much as we can. In addition to donating a significant amount of staff time and advertising to help with the purchase, transportation, and distribution of food, water, and other needed supplies, weíve decided that we can also be of help to the non-profit community by helping them recruit the volunteers that they need to fulfill their missions.

Although the hurricane literally struck thousands of miles from the offices of Minneapolis-based CollegeRecruiter.com, the hurricane figuratively struck close to home for Rothberg as he regularly volunteers for and serves on the Board of non-profit Nechama: Jewish Response to Disaster. Rothberg has also been playing a key role in helping Nechama fulfill its mission of helping individuals and businesses struck by this disaster.

Non-profit organizations which want to post a volunteer position for free to CollegeRecruiter.com and its network of 6,800 niche career sites should email to Rothberg the posting along with the full contact information of the person to whom resumes will be sent. Rothbergís email address is Steven@CollegeRecruiter.com.
