The Institute of Education Selects Infosupport to Streamline its HR Processes

Infosupport Limited, the HR solutions company, has today announced that the Institute of Education, University of London, has selected its Professional Personnel ô and HRInfoô products to automate and streamline the Instituteís HR process and to provide wider information access for its 800 staff.



The Institute of Education is a graduate college of the University of London specialising in teaching, research and consultancy in education and related areas of social science.

With more than 800 staff and a demanding set of HR and information requirements, the Institute recognised that it needed to boost its core HR systems with a more sophisticated and modern HR database and information solution. This demand for increased functionality and integrated information delivery meant that its original practice of using an in-house developed database to handle its HR function was simply no longer feasible. So the Instituteís HR team embarked on a project to identify an integrated HR software solution that would underpin its current and future HR demands.

The Institute chose Professional Personnel and HRInfo from experienced HR specialist, Infosupport, with two goals in mind: to boost HR processes, management and reporting by providing integrated recruitment, training and employee record handling; and to deliver employee self-service via an e-HR solution and increase efficiency and service levels

Francine Setter is Head of HR at the Institute of Education and worked with colleagues to find a replacement HR solution. ìWe researched a number of systems and selected Infosupport as the best integrated system to meet our business requirements. Infosupport stood apart from the field as the supplier whose products were the most intuitive, the quickest to deploy and therefore would show the quickest return on investment. This is critical to us and was a major factor that influenced our decision.î

During the product research period the Instituteís HR team pooled their evaluation resources with The School of Pharmacy. Also a graduate college of the University of London, The School of Pharmacy was seeking a replacement integrated HR solution and their application requirements were very similar to those of the Institute. The School of Pharmacy has now also placed an order for Infosupportís HR solutions, a decision that will herald time and cost savings for both organisations.
