IHRIM, has announced its Call for Presentations for the HRMStrategies 2006 Conference to be held in Washington, DC, April 9-12. Proposal acceptance is based on overall quality and relevance to human resource information management and technology. Guidelines for submittals can be found at this link. Entry deadline is August 26, 2005. To ensure balance, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by a peer review committee of accomplished professionals from human resources and information management. The evaluation process is competitive ó approximately 30% of submissions get selected.
Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated on the 1) Overall quality (focus and content); 2) Uniqueness or innovativeness of the topic; 3) Practical application to the HRMS industry, 4) Timeliness of the topic. IHRIM is seeking qualified persons to speak on topics relative to the following focus areas:
Strategy and Service Delivery - These sessions are aimed at the company searching for better ways to design and deploy human resource technology and service delivery models for the enterprise.
Selection and Implementation ñ These sessions focus on implementation methodologies and how to successfully move from ìideas to realityî -- learning the best practices to keep your plans on track and improve your chances for success. In addition to these best practices, sessions cover the tools that ensure project success.
Post-Implementation and System Enhancements ñ These sessions are aimed at the company that has implemented a system/service delivery option and is looking for new and innovative ways to reduce a total cost of ownership and enhance service offerings to client groups, including bolt-ons and point solutions.
Technology Applications and Issues for Human Resources - These sessions focus on core technologies and protocols, which enhance the user experience and support HR service delivery. This focus area will provide education for HR technology managers and IT specialists supporting the Human Resource function.
Professional Development - These sessions are aimed at the HR systems professional seeking new skills and updating their professional ìtoolkit.î
Outsourcing - These sessions focus on exploring the variety of ways that HR can deliver its products and services to employees. The sessions provide information on alternatives for companies of all sizes and structures.
