Additional Study Results - Plus Peer- and Expert-based Best Practices and Knowledge-Sharing - to be Unveiled at SBPOAís Second F&A Transformation Conference

Preliminary results of a study conducted by the SBPOA and Hewlett-Packard have determined that 73 percent of responding companies view Finance & Accounting (F&A) transformation - via outsourcing or shared services - as a strategic solution to radically improve these functions. Additional study findings, along with peer and industry expert presentations focusing on how F&A transformation helps companies drive-down costs, reduce risks, improve operational and strategic functions, and strengthen competitive positioning, will be delivered to more than 100 senior-level executives attending the SBPOAís second F&A Transformation Conference in London on September 13.

The conference, the agenda for which was fashioned after the SBPOAís highly successful F&A Transformation conference held in Copenhagen in March 2005, will feature the following speakers plus many more:
- Leo Ammerlaan, Head of GSU Poland, Philips
- Nick Andrews, General Manager Europe, EquaTerra
- Mike Friend, Senior Analyst, IDC
- David Heneghan, Head of Operations Shared Service Finance, RBSG
- Fraser Kirk, VP FSSC, Citigroup
- Deborah Kops, Global Head of Transformation, Deutsche Bank
- Ian McAllister, Financial Services Director, BOC Gases
- Andrew MacDonald, Director Shared Services EMEA Finance, Symbol Technologies
- Bundeep Singh Rangar, Founder and COO, Ariadne Capital

The conference program include:
- An overview of the latest trends, developments and challenges, presented from an analystís viewpoint
- A case study on how leading corporations can succeed in F&A transformation
- Interviews with F&A transformation heads
- A case study on how a leading company achieved SOX compliance through process engineering while cutting costs
- Panel discussions evaluating the best and worst transformation options
- Case studies on how F&A transformation helps companies streamline F&A processes to radically improve finance functions
- Panel discussions on the role of technologies in transformation
- Plentiful networking opportunities

Luca Segantini, SBPOAís Managing Director, noted whether companies choose shared services, outsourcing, offshoring or a mix of these approaches, it is clear that F&A transformation is key to future business success.

The SBPOAís F&A Transformation Conference is supported by Capgemini, IBM, Borderless Executive Search, and FAO Today magazine.
