Authoria to Acquire Hire.com

Authoria Adds Recruiting Management to Integrated Human Capital Management Suite Providing Solutions Across the Entire Talent Lifecycle

Authoria, Inc, the company in integrated strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced that it has signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire Hire.com, the leading provider of Recruiting Management solutions, based in Austin, Texas. Terms of the all-stock transaction were not disclosed. The closing of the acquisition is expected to occur this month. The acquisition of Hire.com adds industry leading on-demand recruiting management solution to Authoriaís integrated suite of HCM solutions, allowing the company to help organizations attract top candidates and develop their skills and productivity throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

ìBy adding sourcing and recruiting capabilities to the Authoria family of solutions, large employers can now manage all of their strategic human capital functions, both pre- and post-hire, including the functions associated with planning, sourcing, hiring, on-boarding, evaluating, incentive, and development,î said Tod Loofbourrow, Authoriaís president and chief executive officer. ìIntegrating Hire.comís recruiting management solutions with Authoriaís suite provides our combined base of more than 300 customers and more than 10 million employees with a complete talent lifecycle management solution for attracting the best possible people to the business and ensuring their continued development as employees.î

Co-founded in 1996 by veteran recruiter Hank Stringer and Bucky Couch, Hire.com pioneered the use of the Internet and on-demand applications to radically improve the recruiting processes, winning customers like FedEx, Kaiser Permanente, Royal Caribbean, Adobe and Reuters. Hireís software-as-a-service innovation and expertise complements Authoriaís on-demand strategy, providing hosted fully-managed HCM applications and delivering them over the Internet.

Our joint customers can now realize the true promise of talent lifecycle management, said Larry Orecklin, CEO of Hire.com. Customers want best-of-breed solutions, but they donít want to cobble together point solutions from multiple vendors. Combining our expertise with Authoriaís gives customers access to a complete, tightly integrated, best-of-breed HCM solution from a single vendor.

Hire.comís recruiting management solution will be integrated into Authoriaís Advisor? Series as Authoria Hire Advisor?, and Authoria Manager Advisor? will be included in all Hire Advisor installations, allowing Authoria customers to:

ï Implement the industryís most innovative and effective sourcing solutions to reach elusive, top-quality talent
ï Integrate recruitsí hiring data and previous work experience directly into development and succession plans
ï Leverage performance management information to aid in intra-company hiring
ï Show policies and benefits that are already customized to the profile of new hires
ï Access online advice and coaching for managers about hiring and recruiting

We selected Authoria as a technology partner because of what they offered today as well as their vision for tomorrow, said Anne Sample, senior vice president of HR for PepsiAmericas. Their solutions provide a high level of integration among strategic HCM functions, and they also have a vision to broaden solutions into a number of areas, including candidate acquisition. The addition of Hire.comís recruiting solutions to the Authoria Advisor suite is precisely what we envisioned -- all of the functionality we need in talent lifecycle management from a single provider.

According to a Gartner report , authored by James Holincheck, research vice president, HCM applications: We believe that customers prefer these integrated suites more than niche e-recruitment solutions.... For example, if an enterprise wanted to find a correlation between high performers and sources of talent, it would be harder to pull data from separate e-recruiting and performance management solutions than it would be from an integrated solution.
