Technology is transforming business but this yearís HR Software Show highlights the importance of recognising the people factor in developing successful strategies.
Over 70 leading software and systems suppliers are taking part in the exhibition, showcasing innovative products and services covering the whole spectrum of people management and development activities, from payroll and pensions to succession planning and performance measurement.
As well as on-stand activities and dedicated demonstration rooms, a new Learning Lab at this yearís exhibition gives HR and payroll practitioners the chance to quiz the Inland Revenue on the latest online filing requirements. Half-hour updates will run throughout the two days of the exhibition. Visitors can also pick up on the latest results from the CIPDís 2005 People Management and Technology survey. CIPD adviser Martyn Sloman will be sharing the key findings in half-hour updates in the Learning Lab, alternating with the Inland Revenue sessions.
Exhibitors in the e-recruitment zone will be demonstrating the increasing use of technology in the recruitment and selection process. Web-based technology is helping to streamline the process and provide effective analysis of candidatesí skills.
