Legal Services Scotland are looking to recruit mature consultants throughout the country

Dundee-based company is specifically seeking experienced people who are seeking a new career path

Legal Services Scotland, the leading home service provider of wills north of the Border, are looking to recruit mature consultants throughout the country.

The Dundee-based company is specifically seeking experienced people who are seeking a new career path. They may have recently been made redundant, taken early retirement or just be plain fed up with their current job. LSSí average age for consultants is 55 and the company provide extensive training, a administrative office which produces all documents, a telesales operation and all promotional material.

Weíre not necessarily looking for salespeople, said director Scott Ettershank. Weíre looking for mature adults who can meet clients in their homes, take their instructions and deliver the paperwork to us. We do the rest at our administrative centre in Dundee. The LSS package costs 7,000 and includes a training, day-to-day legal, secretarial and administrative support, regular training courses and meetings, letterheads, business cards, brochures, pop-up stands, a lap top presentation, marketing advice, a tele-sales department and a flat-screen PC. Mr Ettershank said: We have a rapidly-expanding network of consultants around Scotland, but we are seeking more as our business expands. The Inheritance Tax issue has increased our business substantially. People want to ensure that they are providing for their families properly. Also, the realisation that when somebody dies their possessions donít automatically go to the next of kin is a real wake-up call.

As property values soar, so the value of your estate increases, the net result being that more
and more families are being caught in the Inheritance Tax net. This could mean paying a 40 per cent tax but, through proper planning, we can help you avoid or greatly reduce this tax. Mr Ettershank said: Preparing a will is the most important document you will ever write, however, people invariably put it off until later. If you died without making a will, the State decides where your money and property go. We specialise in writing wills and legal documents and are fully accredited members of The Society of Will Writers. We work in the comfort of our clients homes homes at their invitation and at a time that suits them. LSS are also able to offer clients other competitively-priced products which include Protective Property Trusts, ensuring your family and not the Local Council benefits from your estate. Mr Ettershank added: Many people lose the ability to manage their affairs as a result of an accident, sudden illness, a stroke or dementia. Putting Powers of Attorney in place will allow somebody you trust to handle
your affairs and we can do that.

We also have a pre-paid funeral plan and, by preparing expenses, you know that costs will be met fully. Furthermore, we offer a storage facility for your legal documents at a low-cost giving you instant access and peace of mind.
