MilitaryStars has announced that it will host job fair

Taking place at the Supermarket of Veteransí Benefits (SVB)

MilitaryStars, the nationís premiere military career expo company, announced today that it will host the job fair at the Supermarket of Veteransí Benefits (SVB), a State of Illinois Department of Veteransí Affairs initiative designed to assist the 1.1 million military veterans throughout the state.

ìWeíre proud of our involvement in this event because it allows us to continue helping military veterans find employment,î said Hal Fischer, CEO of MilitaryStars. ìThe job fair at Chicago Navy Pier on July 9 will introduce more companies to the exceptional qualities that military candidates can bring to their organizations. We look forward to seeing many national, state and local companies come out and support our veterans by sponsoring a booth at the job fair.î

At the event, veterans and their families will find free information and resources for education, small business, legal and debt assistance, health screenings and a host of other services, including employment assistance through the SVB Job Fair Event. The event is 100 percent sponsor-funded through the Illinois Veterans Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.

ìWeíre excited to have MilitaryStars on the project,î said Illinois Veterans Affairs Director Roy Dolgos. ìThis is an event to benefit all veterans,î he said, adding, ìWeíre looking for this event to continue. This is not a one-day shot for veterans, and weíre looking to continue the relationships with our sponsors after the event is over.î

With more than 600,000 veterans in the Chicago metropolitan area, the SVB will yield over 40,000 attendees at the Navy Pier, all learning about veteransí benefits and employment opportunities. ìIím excited because we had to double the number we expected to somewhere between 40,000 to 50,000 attending the event,î said Sterling Moody, president of Supreme Consulting Group, an agency that produced similar events in the past, and promises to continue their efforts in the future.

The job fair, however, wouldnít be possible without the expertise of MilitaryStars. A veteran-owned company with over 30 years of military and recruiting experience, MilitaryStars hosts national hiring events in select cities throughout the country that help connect military veterans with civilian employment opportunities.

ìWhen we started MilitaryStars, we began with the goal of finding employment for veterans. Today, Iím happy to say that weíve furthered our vision through our commitment to the SVB and to all military veterans who have so bravely served this country,î said Fischer, an Air Force veteran himself.
