People Now or Pay Later ñ HR Conference 2005

The National Council for Voluntary Organisationsí (NCVO) Workforce Development Team is hosting a Conference on 05 July 2005. This year, the event is entitled People Now or Pay Later and will focus on encouraging voluntary sector organisations to become better employers. It will be held at NCVO, Regentís Wharf, 8 All Saints Street, London N1 9RL from 9:30am ñ 4:30pm.



In order to improve the recruitment and retention of staff across the sector, voluntary and community organisations must understand how to make staff and volunteers feel valued and supported as well as to work within the law People Now or Pay Later will be a practical, interactive and informative conference looking at a wide range of employment issues.

The event is aimed at all voluntary organisations that manage paid staff or work with volunteers anyone who is responsible for HR in a voluntary organisation, plus those people who are not HR experts but do have an HR function as part of their job and voluntary organisations which do not have an HR department.
