Unlike a typical job board website saleswise.co.uk is UK specific and sales recruitment specific.

It has quite a few bells and whistles on the site that even a fairly inexperienced recruiter can master very quickly.

When building the website Patrick Newbound viewed the present selection of CV databases and decided something had to be different, but not just for the sake of being different but because it had to relate to the candidates in a way that is easily identifiable with sales candidates: quick and simple to use.

To suggest the existing CV database websites are imperfect would be unfair, in fact some are really very good. Saleswise is not as technically advanced as many others, but then we donít have to cipher out none sales personnel !

How does it work?
saleswise streams the candidates according to the candidateís prefered location and prefered industry, this can generate a lot of CVís in some industries and locations but we then offer 2nd and third tier filters, these are language, degree and job type. The job type is simply a reference to someone working in sales and specifically what they do in sales, so you could be looking at a customer sales advisor working in a call centre in Manchester (North West England) or a field sales advisor working in telecoms based in City/West or a Business development manager with a degree and second language working in IT sales in South East England.

Is it a perfect resoursing solution?
No, we are still improving the system to include a Keyword search along with the rest of the first,second and third tier filters. This will be available sometime late 2005 or early 2006. That said it is very reliable, search specific and a genuine what you see is what you get feel to it, never the doubt or wonder if you might have missed a CV somewhere when searching.

saleswise has almost no jobs posted to the site and generates around 20 CVís per day(avg) the website holds an average of 1,500 CVís at any one time 90% UK based & 100% sales, all less than 12 months old from last activity. This means if a candidate registered 8 months ago but is still looking actively for a job it will be seen along with candidates registered recently, whereas a candidate registering 4 months ago will be further down the search results.

saleswise generates less than 1,000 page impressions per day and should not be confused with a job board website which can generate many times this figure. Often you here a website sales executive crow about the high volume of hits/page impressions/unique visitors, saleswise isnít looking for high traffic figures, just CVís(and only from UK sales personnel).

Saleswise offers very few sales jobs on the site and each one is charged at 190 to keep the selection as low as possible and the volume of CVís as high as possible.
