Graduate Prospects, is turning its Graduate Careers Service Directory (GCSD), the definitive guide to Higher Education Careers Services, into a purely online careers services resource for employers.
Online, the GCSD will help meet employer demands for up-to-the-minute searchable information on Careers Services and related graduate recruitment events, and be available at: http://www.prospects.ac.uk/links/RecruitersDesk
The online version provides contact details and web addresses for all HE careers services, searchable by institution or key personnel, and including a direct email address for the Head of Service and nominated employer contact; plus other useful contact details for related organisations such as Graduate Prospects, AGR, AGCAS and local accommodation providers.
Employers can also use the GCSD to source information on tailored events at individual careers services, many of which are specifically designed for employers, and on the bigger career fairs. Other useful information includes the number of students graduating from each discipline area, and the term dates for individual institutions.
Using the online format, Graduate Prospects will be able to update the GCSD on a fortnightly basis, as opposed to annually with the hard copy, and editors at individual careers services will also regularly update their entries to keep employers aware of their planned activities.
Mike Hill, chief executive of Graduate Prospects, comments:
ìIts imperative we keep the dialogue open between employers and HE careers services. The online GCSD has huge benefits over the traditional hard copy and will be an invaluable resource for recruiters, allowing them to identify not just relevant institutions, and contacts within those institutions, but key events and opportunities for reaching their much sought after graduatesî.
