Leeds and London-based Directorbank - the rapidly expanding niche recruitment business for main board directors - has appointed Samantha Piddington to head up a new operation in the north west and Maggie Lee, former director of Pearsons and current non-executive director of NHS Professionals, to concentrate on the PLC market in its London office.
Sarah Grnewald, head of the Corporate Division at Directorbank, said: Our PLC client base has grown by more than 70 per cent in the last year alone and we need more people on the ground to handle an increasing number of assignments. Both Maggie and Samantha bring a wealth of relationships and experience.
Directorbank has already built a significant reputation with UK PLCs and private equity backed businesses. Recent successes have included non-executive director appointments at Holidaybreak, Provalis, Oakdale Bakeries and ArmorGroup.
Samantha Piddington is a chartered accountant and former corporate financier and has worked on a number of transactions in the north-west. Maggie Leeís career spans aerospace, railways, computing and media, with particular expertise in strategic resourcing issues.
Grnewald added: Our service is very different from anything else in this market - and it is very appealing to PLCs. We are able to shortlist candidates in as little as a week and one PLC was able to interview and appoint within just a fortnight. The service is transparent, simple and original.
