The integrated structure of the 2004 Corporate Responsibility Report, which is is verified by KPMG, has evolved from the functional layout of the BG Group Social and Environment Reports 2001-2003.
BG Group is involved in the exploration and production, transmission and distribution and supply of natural gas to industrialised and developing markets around the world. Its core activity is connecting high value markets to competitively priced gas.
Given the location of hydrocarbon resources, BG Groupís work can take the company to countries in various stages of economic, environmental and social development. The report says this reinforces the need for strong corporate governance and risk management procedures, together with adherence to the groupís Business Principles.
