With over 45 million iPhones sold globally, JobServe has today released an application to its candidates so they can search for their next job on their iPhone.
The JobServe iPhone app is free and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.
ìI am sure this will be a very popular app for IT contractors, ìsaid James Wren, JobServe General Manager Search Products & User Experience, ìit will allow them to search for their next contract where-ever they are.î
With 5 million candidates globally, JobServe is confident this new app will prove popular, not only with its own candidates but will attract new tech savvy candidates who want a job search on their phones.
Wendy Cowell, JobServe Global Online Sales & Business Development Manager said, ìOur global customers are searching for top flight candidates for all locations and they want their job adverts being seen where the best people look.î
ìWe are getting increased business in China and the Far East where the iPhone is seen as the fashion accessory for the business professionalî.
JobServe was the first job board to provide a mobile phone specific site in 2003 and this iPhone app is a logical extension. ìWe do all we can to make the task of finding a job easy for the candidateî, said Wren.
Further releases of apps for other PDAís are planned for this winter as are continued improvements to this app.
Wren added, ìWe are seeking feedback from job seekers and recruiters on which PDA application to develop next and currently Blackberry is leading the field. You can vote on which platform is next by visiting JobServe Labsî.
