Britain has become a nation of mobile phone junkies

Britain has become a nation of mobile phone junkies. With over 75 million mobile phones in the UK for a population of 62 million we have more than one each!

With mobiles being such a part of our everyday lives, JobServe today announced the latest release of JobServe Mobile.

Purposefully designed for the mobile user, JobServe Mobile eliminates the need to trawl clunky web pages, and gives the ability to apply for a job directly from the phone. With the ever increasing number of Internet Hot-Spots in cafés, bars and restaurants you can apply for jobs wherever you are.

JobServe was the first job board to launch a mobile service and, with this release, it’s the first to provide a mobile site for all makes of Internet-enabled mobile phones.

Commenting on the new release, James Wren, JobServe’s General Manager Search Products & User Experience said, you will be able to apply for jobs in as little as two clicks whether you have a Blackberry, iPhone, Nokia or any other Internet-enabled phone

Searching for jobs on the mobile site is quick and easy, and you do not have to be a registered JobServe user to do so.

Existing JobServe users may apply for jobs using the CV stored against their account. New users can sign up simply by providing their email address and password, and then emailing their CV to JobServe where it will be automatically uploaded against their account.

The application form is pre-filled for existing users, further expediting the application process. Candidates just review/complete the questions accordingly, and then hit ‘apply’. It’s as easy as that! said Wren.

This mobile service fully compliments the application system provided by JobServe on the website.

I am sure this will be a popular feature said Wren, It will allow job seekers to both search and apply for their next job wherever they are.
