A pioneering online recruitment firm is in the running for a prominent business award, after shaking up its industry and setting new benchmarks.
RecruitmentGenius.com, based in Sevenoaks, has been announced as a
finalist in the ‘Startup Business of the Year’ category, in the Kent
Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA). The winner of this prestigious
accolade will be announced at an awards evening held at Leas Cliff Hall
in Folkestone, on 30 June.
With its innovative business model, RecruitmentGenius.com has
transformed the recruitment industry, enabling businesses to fill any
job vacancy for just £199. Directly challenging conventional wisdom, the
firm has made a significant impact, having placed over 38,000
candidates into firms within its first year in business.
Geoff Newman, Chief Executive, remarked: We're thrilled our business
has been recognised for this achievement. The recession has certainly
been challenging, but to have set-up and achieved so much during this
time is amazing.”
This latest recognition adds yet another string to the recruiter’s
bow, after it was recently announced as the winner of a National Best
Business Award, and a finalist in two OnRec 2011 categories, and in Kent
Invicta Chamber of Commerce awards.
The unique concept for RecruitmentGenius.com’s model was derived as a
direct answer to the challenges the recruitment industry was facing as a
result of the recession.
Mr Newman added: “With focus, passion and determination, we’ve
combined high levels of service, not typically associated with internet
and recruitment companies, with affordable rates.”
The firm has placed candidates with a wide range of firms, from FTSE
100 companies, to start-ups and growing businesses. It has the ability
to fulfill a diverse range of needs, with some of its clients having a
single requirement each year, whilst its largest contract is to fill
approximately 15,000 vacancies.
To date, RecruitmentGenius.com has filled vacancies throughout the
UK, Northern Ireland, Australia, America, Canada and Denmark, across an
enormous range of sectors and at all levels of seniority.
