Job Applications on the go with Jobsite

Jobsite has always been a forward thinker. The digital recruitment brand launched in 1995, at a time when just 40,000 people had started using the internet in the UK.

The best part of 20 years on, Jobsite are still ahead of the game with their new mobile app, allowing candidates to upload their CV and apply for jobs on the go.

People use mobiles and smart phones every day, so the obvious next step in recruitment is to harness that opportunity for candidates – and employers. Applicants can access their CVs and resumes from one of six popular clouds, including Dropbox, SkyDrive and GoogleDocs.

From start to finish, from finding a job to submitting a CV takes around one minute and 18 seconds. So for busy, connected smart phone users, it’s a small but energetic boost on the way up the career ladder. And for recruiters, it’s an opportunity to engage 30-50%* of applicants, the moment they see a job on their mobile phone.

With Google predicting that by 2015 mobile will be the preferred device for jobseekers, Jobsite hiring managers and recruiters can stay ahead of the game. Sophie Relf, Marketing Director at Jobsite.co.uk said, “We want to make our customers’ and candidates’ lives easier. This is one small step to doing that”.

The new Jobsite app is available for download on iTunes.
