Monitoring of over 500,000 company career sites and 112 online job boards shows that 772,000 new jobs were advertised in the month of May, a 19% rise over April. The monthly survey was carried out by the UK's largest online recruitment company, RecruitmentGenius.com, revealing the fact that more and more organisations are turning to online recruitment to successfully fill their positions.

With such a rise, recruiters are definitely recognizing the advantages of flat-free recruitment and in the same period RecruitmentGenius.com registered a 22% increase in jobs advertised.

"Our results for May 2013 are great news and are a testament to the hard work of our team which enjoys such high rates of recommendation", says Geoff Newman, chief executive of RecruitmentGenius.com. "We are truly thrilled to see so many new and returning customers and are looking forward to introducing them to our new service", he adds, referring to more innovative and user-friendly services to be launched very soon.

Geoff Newman is a director of RecruitmentGenius.com and is a regular commentator on recruitment and employment issues. He has been featured on the national and broadcast media such as the BBC and Financial Times.
