Leap29, Global Recruitment Intermediaries, are pleased to announce the opening of a Canada Regional Office in Calgary, Alberta. The office has been set up initially to support the needs of clients in the Oil & Gas and Mining sectors throughout Canada.
Calgary is the 3rd largest city in Canada with a population of 1.1 million people. It is the centre of Canada’s booming oil & gas and minerals industries. It is close to key exploration and extraction sites in British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.
Canada is unusual among developed countries in the importance of its primary sector, which has large, successful timber and oil/gas industries. Alberta hosts large oil and gas resources and its immense Athabasca oil sands are the world's second-largest proven oil reserves. Canada is also the largest global producer of zinc and uranium, and is a leading exporter of many other natural resources, such as gold, nickel, aluminium, and lead.
Leap29 Canada Director Brendan O’Connell said, ‘we have had a warm reception from our existing clients with operations in Alberta and British Columbia. We have also had a lot of interest from Canadian businesses, which are excited about Leap29’s global network of oil and gas professionals and our ability to quickly identify and mobilise the best staff, wherever they might be in the world.’
